Family - Community - Fitness
After witnessing the health and wellness benefits that the CrossFit movement had to offer first hand, a group of enthusiasts began to develop into a family. That core family became CrossFit SBC in 2013, and opened a small 2000 sqft warehouse gym in Shreveport, Louisiana. It is no secret that the state of Louisiana has some of the worst chronic illness metrics for diabetes, heart disease, and obesity in the country - CrossFit SBC was fueled by the passion for developing the health and wellness of our Shreveport/Bossier Community. We wanted to not just better our members but improve our Community. Our history of fighting disease and disability began with CrossFit, and continued in our contributions back to our region. Even in 2013 we began hosting community benefits such as our annual The Battle for the Burn Survivors (benefiting Camp I'm Still Me and the Percy R Johnson Foundation for burn victims). As we focused on the health and wellness of our Community, our family grew and grew. We became a Family with a CrossFit problem. In 2015 we finally outgrew our original warehouse and moved to our current 5000+ sqft location at 744 Professional Drive South, becoming one of the largest CrossFit facilities in the region. We hosted our first annual Ark-La-Tex WODFest Competition in 2016, as well as our first annual CrossFit SBC Partner Mayhem. After our community asked us to host a USA Weightlifing Competition in 2016, we responded by beginning one of the only dedicated CrossFit Olympic Weightlifing programs in the region.
Our goal remains simple: to continue to offer the Shreveport/Bossier area the best place for our Community to better themselves physically and mentally. We want to be the Only Place to Train because we want to do it surrounded by great people! People like you.
